Finding an authentic Sputnik is not easy in my view. As one poster has said >99% for sale are fake. I was searching ebay recently as I am kind of in the market for one myself and saw nothing that was not fake/franken. There are a few designs of Sputnik watches, all of which seem to be very popular to reproduce fake dials for. If you are looking for a First Moscow "Sputnik" like you posted earlier, here is how we could see it was a fake. 1. The modern, fake dials are almost uniformly missing Severnaya Zemlya and the longitude lines don't meet (images shameless stolen from a prior post by mroatman). Hi! I've come across this sputnik watch, but I have never seen one with hands like this (especially the second hand) and also the black arrows instead of the usual red line. Has anyone seen one like this before? Does it look fake or frankensteined? Thanks
