Picked up new M series Classic Sea Dweller today. Has anyone put a jubilee bracelet on a SS/plat yachtmaster? What does 15/423 on my GMTIIC mean?I am very curious to know what number is above the "15/423" on your clasp. That number seems to indicate the date of production of the clasp/bracelet, and would help us know if the theory above is correct. Today I picked up a vintage Tudor Prince Date Day and it was fitted with a newish steel Rolex Oyster bracelet. Inside the clasp it is marked OP8 and 15/423; in each end-piece is 53 16520.
Also, note that apparantly the "15/423" code has not changed since Mike bought his SS GMT IIc (which is long ago). I'd think it has naught to do with the watch, but the bracelet, as I believe these bracelets can be fitted on more than 1 model of the newer Rolex line. Since were talking about the new Bracelet which, I LOVE! Clasp code is OP8 15/423, end links are solid, code is 97200, glidelock bracelet. Bracelet is in good quality, looks genuine as well. I suspect that it might be possible that this is a franken watch, all the genuine parts were put together.
