Took it in a second time a few days later and now it is nearly perfect at +3 seconds. The bonus is that if I position it vertically in a watch stand with the 12 o'clock toward the ceiling it will lose one second overnight. If i don't wear it for a day it will lose 4 seconds with a half wind.

Keep that in mind always when buying vintage or a watch older than 4 - 5 years old. I set the watch last night about 9pm to the correct time, as I do roughly once a month. I woke this morning about 5am and happened to notice that it lost 5 minutes overnight. I just reset it then and since 5am it has lost another minute or so. Since the clocks went back in the UK at the end of October, I've noticed on a couple of occasions now that the watch is running a couple of minutes slow - naturally, the first time I assumed I'd set it incorrectly.
An automatic watch may lose time over the course of a few years. Here is a guide to help keep your watch running and what to do if it starts losing time.As mentioned earlier, the most common reason why an automatic watch runs too fast or too slow is the fact that it is in need of a service and a complete overhaul. Similar to a car, oils need to be changed, parts may need replacing, and adjusting may be necessary. I put it on the timegrapher and discovered that in several positions (e.g, 12 up, crown down, etc) it is now running between 15 and 20 seconds SLOW per day. Dial-up it is running around 0 spd, but the rest of the positions are much slower. I purchased my Omega Seamaster 300 coaxial 2 months ago. However, it s been running consistently slow -10 to -12 seconds per day even when wearing it for 10 hrs a day and resting it dial down or dial up when I go to bed.
I believe your watch is rated at 0-6 seconds per day (Omega cal. 8806). That’s the rating for the 8800. If it’s gaining a few seconds a day, that’s fine and normal. All mechanical watches gain or lose a few seconds a day. Even the most expensive ones.

Sort of! Level 100 Pokemon don't gain any EVs from battling. They can gain EVs from Vitamins though, and lose EVs with the special Berries, which will change the Pokemon's actual stats on the fly. This means you can technically get an Effort Ribbon for a level 100 Pokemon, but you must apply Vitamins across all stats.
