Overall impression: We really feel like the LUM-TEC M25 is a great choice for an entry level luxury watch. It isn’t quite yet to the level of design or feel as that of a Panerai but surely is a good step towards that direction. I only recently "discovered" Lum-Tec watches, thanks to WUS. I was instantly drawn to their unique designs and vibe. I've thoroughly searched the forums. There are few threads about Lum-Tec. Plenty of listings in the For Sale section over the years. It almost looks like the Lum-Tec is a newer, more updated version of the Panerai. I like the crown of the Lum-Tec better, too. Both are fantastic, but I'm not a big fan of the "cyclops," even though I share the older-guy eyesight thing with you.
The Lum-Tec M80 is a PVD-coated automatic watch, somewhat reminiscent of a Panarai in its general looks. It measures 44 millimeters across and 13.5 mm thick, including the double-domed sapphire crystal.
Lüm-Tec is known for.well, their lume. but also for making some pretty sizable watches. Usually in the 43-45mm range, they are large, masculine and rugged. With one of their newest lines, the Abyss 600M , they’ve gone for the blue ribbon of big watches with a whopping 48mm diameter. The LUM-TEC M3 borrows from a lot of classic and popular designs. You can see a lot of Panerai and Bell & Ross BR-01 in the dial and case. Classic Panerai PAM watches especially.

other that the strap saying PAM, i had an idea that i wanted my lum-tec to have a strap that fits like the panerai and offers the same type of texture, honestly as Sal stated they are the MOST comfortable rubber strap i ever wore
The strap is held together with a LÜM-TEC signed, case matching "Panerai style" tang and buckle. Also included with the purchase of this watch is an excellent rubber strap, and a very well constructed metal bracelet.
