As expected with a Rolex caliber, it is highly shock resistant and accurate – running within the superlative chronometer standards of plus or minus two seconds a day. The Rolex GMT Master II 126711CHNR “Rootbeer” is a prime example that two-tone watches can work in today's marketplace.The GMT-Master II is able to do this because the local 12-hour hand and 24-hour GMT-hand move independently of one another, allowing you to display two different time zones on just the dial and freeing up the bezel for quick access to a third if need be.
At 40mm, the GMT-Master II is the Goldilocks of sports watches—neither too big nor too small. Compared to the Submariner, it’s more compact, making it perfect for everyday wear. The weight is just right, giving it a reassuring presence on the wrist. I realize many don't care for two-tone, but this particular watch seems well done. I'm glad they didn't use green dials or different color 24 hour hands on the new releases. The half black, half grey bezel is subtle and blends well with the steel of the watch.

I also find GMT complications useful and like the slight difference of a GMT master vs the massive popularity of the Submariner.
